MWIA Scientific Congress

For the attention of medical and health writers

The 25th Congress of the Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA) is being held at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney this week.

Women doctors from around the world will attend the Congress to confer on the key issue of women’s health in a multicultural world.

Dr Michael Wooldridge, the Federal Minister for Health and Aged Care, will welcome delegates to the Congress on Thursday April 19 at a reception at 6.30pm in the Sydney Cove Room at the Hilton Hotel.

General assemblies for MWIA members will be held on Friday April 20 and Monday April 23.

Almost 150 speakers will address a diverse range of topics at the Scientific Congress on Saturday April 21 and Sunday April 22.

Media representatives are invited to attend the welcome reception and the Scientific Congress.

Program details can be found at www.mwia.conf.au. Abstracts from papers being presented to the conference and short biographies on some of the speakers will also be available.
