About The Regional Institute

The Regional Institute was founded in 1999 as a not-for-profit company. Based just north of Sydney on the Central Coast of NSW, it provides web based solutions and publishing services for professional societies, government, not-for-profit organizations and SMEs.

Company principals, Claire Braund and Roger Johnson, have backgrounds in research and development, agriculture, extension services, regional and rural affairs, media, public relations, IT and communications. This informs the development of their web services, which are strongly focused around the interactions of information, people and technology in the online environment.

The Regional Institute has three main areas of activity:

  1. Provision of web services that enable communication, administration, business and operational management processes to be conducted online.
  2. Development and support of our open source SCOPE software system.
  3. Publishing conference proceedings, reports, books and journals on the Internet, CD and in print.

The Regional Institute services also extend to the provision of advice and professional support for the establishment and operation of these organisations, including communication, governance and information and data management.

Contact us by email: contact@regional.org.au or by phone 612 4369 6006.
