President's Report

It was pleasing that when ice closed the road at Mt Lambie recently 'those in authority' decided to run a train instead of the usual coach between Lithgow and Bathurst. That's good I reckon.

I recently received a message from Allison Copley of Blayney Booking Office thanking me for my letter to CountryLink. Apparently Allison received a very complementary letter from CountryLink General Manager.

This was encouraging to me as my letter of thanks was sent to the Australasian Railway Association thanking them and asking they relay the message to CountryLink. Just shows that the message can get through!

That the President's Report Be Adopted

Moved:- Marj Bollinger Second:- Moira Reynolds Carried

General Business

Marj raised the issue which has come to attention that Disabled Buses are denied access on Great Western Highway over the Blue Mountains due to the extended size which is shorter than that of semi trailers.

In relation to Graham Dun's concerns as to what is happening with the GWH it was resolved we write to The Hon Carl Scully asking what has happened as a result of the Penrith/Orange transport corridor task force study.
