Secretary's Report

Marj Bollinger and I spent a productive day after the last meeting amending and posting correspondence detailed in minutes. A press release relating to the Cowra - Blayney rail link was issued and several television and radio interviews done. I intend to follow this issue up with calls to the RTA, relevant Ministers and the media. Could the meeting advise me what is the latest on this issue - is the mining product being transported by road or rail? In relation to the funding options I have made several inquiries and started to do some searching on the Internet - yet to no avail. We aim to have the website operational by June. Apologies for the lateness of the minutes and my inability to attend tonight's meeting. The wedding was terrific and all involved had a wonderful weekend - wedding cake available at the next meeting.

Motion: That the secretary's report be received.

General Business

Marj Bollinger, Bob Burrell and Margaret Turner gave a joint report of the Road Accident Victims Day Remembrance Day Service (see attached).

It was agreed that HSAG would like to see this service continue be it annually or bi-annually on a national level if possible. Marj is hoping to attend a de briefing on Thursday and suggest to the RTA that HSAG are prepared to co operate with RTA to bring this about. Suggested that we write to appropriate State and Federal Ministers. (NB: Marj did not get to the meeting and is waiting on minutes.)

Marj Bollinger noted that the minute book had been given to Moya Crowe to type all the minutes into the computer for website development.

Next Meeting 6 June 2000 at PCYC Orange at 7.00 p.m.

Meeting Closed: 8.05 p.m.
