Country Towns e-groups (countrytowns@egroups.com)

Purpose

The Country Towns Conference brought together a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds who care about the future of Australia’s country towns.

More than 70 papers and presentations were given on related topics. Much of this valuable information is now stored on the website. We can build on this stored knowledge and grow the process started by the conference.

The purpose of the egroup is to facilitate the exchange of information about people and projects. You can contribute information about yourself, your project and papers you have written to the egroup and get in contact with people with similar interests. This information will be archived on the website.

Policy statement

You are one of more than 300 members of the countrytowns egroup.

Please treat this group and its members with care and respect and be particular about the type of messages you post. It is a forum for exchanging information and ideas that build on the Country Towns conference. It is not a forum for chatting, or for sending chain letters, jokes or other miscellaneous items.

Sending messages

• To post a message to the whole group, send an email to countrytowns@egroups.com.
• Please make sure the subject of your message is clear and descriptive.
• To reply to the sender of a message, re-type the sender’s email address into a new message window and send your message direct.
• Attachments will not be posted. If you have a document that members may be interested in, either let them know so they can request it from you directly or upload it to the egroup.
• Upload your files such as Word documents, spreadsheets and images at http://www.egroups.com/files/countrytowns/. Please use this feature to contribute conference papers or related “post conference” papers for publishing on the Country Towns website.
• Post an event on the countrytowns calendar or add a link to your website

Receiving messages

• If you have been subscribed to countrytowns you will receive a Daily Digest - a single message per day with a summary of the daily dialogue.
• Messages are also archived at http://www.egroups.com/messages/countrytowns.
• You may change your setting to receive no email messages at http://www.egroups.com/members/countrytowns. Click on the drop down box on the right hand side and save changes.

How to subscribe

The countrytowns egroup is a closed forum for members only. To subscribe please click on the box. Your membership will then go to a moderator for approval.
