This publication contains the keynote and invited papers from the National Forum 2000 of the Australasia Pacific Extension Network (APEN), held at the Melbourne Convention Centre from 26 to 27 October 2000.  It is published as a CDROM and on the APEN website to allow for wider access.  When speakers did not provide us with a written version of their talk, we have included the slides from their presentations rather than leave them out.

The papers include the full addresses and email details of the speakers to facilitate greater interaction.  We also include summaries of the discussion after some sessions, and hope we have summarised this successfully.  We have also included summaries of the evaluation sheets collected after each session to gauge their effectiveness. Any feedback can be directed to the editors below.

We hope you find this publication a useful contribution to the on-going process of change in extension in Australia.
