For Authors
General information
There are two categories of papers for the 4th World Congress on Allelopathy:
- Contributed papers of 4 pages
- Invited invited keynote and plenary papers of 8-10 pages
Papers submitted for the 4th World Congress on Allelopathy will be refereed and published online.
Authors invited to submit a full paper must do so by 20 April 2005. English is the official language of the congress. Instructions for authors and a template for the abstracts are now available. All papers should be submitted online.
Authors giving oral papers will be notified and given details about proper presentation format. For papers to be published in the proceedings, authors must attend the conference. Students are especially encouraged to submit their research as the congress aims to facilitate networking and discussion.
Authors wanting to submit a paper are asked to complete the following steps. Once you are registered, you may login at any time to access the Author Gateway.
Submission and review process
Step 1: Register as an author
[Note: you only need to register once. Authors for other Regional.Net conferences can use their existing login. You can check if you are registered by clicking the "forgotten username or password" link on the login form]
Click on the Register link in the side menu, fill in your details and press Save at the bottom of the form.
A confirmation email will be sent to your inbox, letting you know that you are registered. For security purposes you will not be able to log-in until you respond to this email. Click the link in the email to verify your details and log in to the Author Gateway.
Once you have registered you can log-in to the Author Gateway at any time. If you have forgotten your password, you may request one from the login page.

Step 3: Login and submit your paper
The paper submission, review and editing process is managed through the The Author Gateway which can be accessed via the My Papers button.
- Look for the My Papers button to access the Author Gateway with your username and password.
- Submit your paper, making sure you enter a title, theme and brief description.
Step 4: Review your paper
Your paper will be allocated to two reviewers who will access the paper via the Author Gateway. The reviewers will download your paper, make suggestions and comments in the Word document using track-changes and re-load the paper with recommendations and coments for editors. Editors will access your paper and communicate with you by email. Until your paper is accepted for publication, you may access it at any time via the Author Gateway to revise and upload a new version.
Only the editorial committee will be able to access all of the papers through the Author Gateway. The papers will not be accessible to the public until after the conference.
Publications
Publishing and author registration for the 4th World Congress on Allelopathy is being coordinated by The Regional Institute Ltd.
Refereed proceedings in the form of full papers will be available to all conference delegates on a CD and the Internet. Abstracts will be published in the conference handbook.
